Search engines say that blogs with a face are more successful than those without. Not sure how success was defined. I also believe everything I read on the internet.
As you can probably tell from the lack of bells and whistles on this page, HI I’m new here.
When I decided to take the jumbled thoughts out of my brain and put them on a blog for the entire world to see, I didn’t have any expectations. Kind of felt like a dear diary project that would save my family & friends from having to listen to me.
I talk a lot …. and really fast.. I’m also a visual learner, so I’ll include lots of visuals.
Maybe I’ll enjoy it when I’m old?
Maybe nobody else would’ve told Mady’s story?
Maybe my daughters aka Sopchicks will read it later in life and actually take some of my mediocre at best advice?
Maybe Rob’s Story will change one person’s perception on military?
Maybe it will help one person feel like they aren’t alone?
Maybe it will get me laughed at? 🥹
IDK, and maybe I never will, all I do know is… well… it’s out of your control now 😎 I have a lot of knowledge & information, with little to no plan. Danger‼️
The more I let go of my co-dependent control, the more life seems to fall into place. I love embracing my gray…. Even when reality is not as toxically positive as my sunny sweet disposition.

Hi, I’m Jackie. My dad is my hero. He retired in 2007 after dedicating 33 years of his life as a peace officer with the mindset “Do the Right Thing”. My perception of police officers is unique to me. I didn’t realize until a few years ago how easily that can change with life perspective.
I enjoy(ed) a good argument and wanted (in my head) to do right by my dad, so I became a prosecutor. After ten years in prosecution, I’m starting to question the polarized and divisive nature of the justice system. The justice system is set up to make a choice between two options with no flexibility: guilty or not guilty. Right or wrong. Black or white. Republican or Democrat.
But, Why?
Is the current justice system working? If not, what can we do differently? How do we mix the two colors to embrace the gray?
Get it?

I have quite a few ideas and a burn book full of tea. I’d like to learn more first, so let’s talk!
I urge you to be part of the solution this election season. I will not tell you who to vote for. Get informed. Vote for people because of their knowledge, hard work and ability to be fluid, not because of divisive political party lines encouraged by media optics not moral values. You never know when a Republican will put on his or her Democrat face to fit a mold and vice versa.
Want to know if you align with someone to elect them to have power over your tax dollars? Ask a few people who worked for the individual.
